The Weekly Roundup

Big Weekend in Scandinavia!

Two huge Ironman events took place this weekend, with #TeamPTH athletes flying the flag in both Sweden and Denmark.

Ironman Kalmar

Congratulations to Rogan Matthews, Richard Walton, Lee Adams, Steve Robinson, Tim Hubbard, Julian Phillips and Lesley Mainwaring who took on the legendary Kalmar course. A 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and a marathon to finish – an unbelievable test of endurance and grit

Ironman Copenhagen

A huge well done to Ian Saunders and Stephen Crook who conquered the streets of Copenhagen. With its iconic city backdrop, fast bike course and buzzing atmosphere, it’s a race to remember – and both smashed it!

ITERA Adventure Race

We’ve all seen some impressive multi-sport efforts over the years, but last week Zoe Davies tackled one of the most extreme examples – the ITERA Lite Adventure Race. Covering around 300km of kayaking, trekking and mountain biking while navigating through the Cairngorm National Park in Scotland. Zoe and her teammate completed the course in about 69 hours – an incredible endurance effort!

Conditions meant the swim was cancelled, turning the event into a 5K run. Well done to our athletes who adapted brilliantly and took it in their stride.
