Beast of Bryn – Bwystfil Y Bryn
Beast of Bryn – Bwystfil Y Bryn had 3 distances to choose for this year! From 7.5 mile, 15 mile & newly added Ultra (29 miles)! The route ran through the mountains of Afan Argoed and Margam with stunning views throughout. The views weren’t the only thing that was stunning… the achievements and times put in by our athletes were too!
Second place in the 7.5 mile we saw Alun Cox take a fantastic podium spot and a huge course PB to go with it!
Third place in the 15 mile race went to Sarah Howard, who navigated the hills with precision and power to also take a podium spot.
World Super Sprint Championships in Pontevedra, Spain
On Friday we saw our very own Mike Hayden representing Great Britain as part of the Age Group Team for the first time at the World Super Sprint Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. Mike put in an incredible performance and placed an amazing 30th in his age category! Enjoy unlimited tapas Mike!
Llanelli Half Marathon
Llanelli Half Marathon – We saw #teampth on the start line again! The weather was questionable with it being very windy at points on the course, but that didn’t stop our athletes from giving their best, with Lesley Mainwaring and Ben Hughes pacing, and a PB for Laura Miles.
Parkrun
In Gnoll we saw: @mikey Davies have his stag do start off in the best possible way! Third place for Mikey Davies in a tutu. We saw a whole host of course PBs from Stephen John Davies, Adam Beechey, David Jones, Jonathan Gibbs and Daniel Howard.
It was Elvis Weekend in Porthcawl and of course that meant a fancy dress Parkrun!Course PBs for Neil Rees, Emma Gregory and Jayne Owen.
In Maesteg parkrun: a course PB for Alun Cox
In Ireland, we saw Rachel Monks and James Lowery take on Brickfields parkrun with Rachel taking first female. Ian and Linda Radmore took on Kralingse Bos parkrun in Rotterdam. Fran Knight went to Groe parkrun and in Aberfields parkrun we saw Kathryn Cunningham.
