Under the auspices of the Welsh Cross Country Association, the annual novice championship was contested at Margam, Port Talbot, on Saturday afternoon.
There were six contesting teams, and the event aroused considerable interest. Although the weather was fine, the five mile course over the Margam Estate was heavy and several stiff obstacles had to be negotiated.
